After college, he worked as an EMT before moving to Jacksonville and entering the addiction recovery/mental health field. During this time, Kendrick worked with a diverse population and fostered his passion for helping individuals better themselves and gain more independence. He then transitioned to teaching middle school which is where he first encountered ABA when he had two students with ASD. Kendrick worked with their RBT shadows and quickly realized that was the career path he had been searching for. Kendrick obtained his RBT certificate that summer and began his journey in ABA.
